Found something pretty cool while riding with a buddy today, and it's fairly close to home, an Oak tree that is more than 2000 years old, with limbs big enough to run across, just like in the Avatar movie, but this one's for real.

I can only imagine what living for 2000 years would be like, but even more than a long life, is a full life. I'd rather have the uncertainty of a handful of years lived well with honor, courage and hope in the life to come, than to be a spectator for the centuries and then ceasing to exist with physical death.

Makes for a good, short ride and there are also a couple cool nature trails nearby as well.

The last 4 guys that publicly revealed the location of the tree are all dead...so I'm thinkin we plan an evening ride soon, to include a couple of these sights, and then end with someplace cool for dinner.
