These two places are your friends.

I'd own a Honda, if it had 4 wheels.

the civic has the best gas mileage as far as i can see... i would love a brand new one, but i couldnt possibly afford it... i like the little civic im driving now, but i need an upgrade... i can afford 150 a month... if anyone can give me a heads up in the right direction...

I think if you let Erik and I seriously look for a car, we can find you a better one for a good price, or even a Miata like you really wanted.

Pandora

right now i want damned good gas mileage and reliability... i would love a miata someday... but not this year

CKER
08-11-2007, 12:17 AM
yeah, look for subtle details, it was an ex model, which means Vtec, shitty stereo install and aftermarket shift knob, it was beat on by whoever had it, gaurantee it's gonna need a clutch soon...

Pandora
08-11-2007, 12:20 AM
ok... thats good to know... why is the car i want a teenage boys wet dream?

CKER
08-11-2007, 12:26 AM
was, it's not anymore, but the ones you find are gonna be beat on, at least you know some guy that can fix one if you get one, hell buy that one, 5.5 hour engine swap.....

He only gets paid to make a sale, why would he want to waste his time on someone who he knows he wont make a sale off of?

And Miata's are reliable and get good gas mileage. They have tiny 4cyl's like Civics.

Pandora
08-11-2007, 12:36 AM
but they arent practical, they are a gift for a job well done or something of that nature... i dont need a snazzy car, i need a car that i can go 3 weeks on a tank of gas with my normal back and forth and cram as much bottled water as erik and i can afford every 2 weeks in the back seat. the Miata can wait... ill get a raise sooner or later and then i will get my little dream car

bluespecv03
08-11-2007, 12:39 AM
Keep driving the SuperCivic, thats the most practical thing you can do. You barely drive anywhere anyway, might as well not have a car payment. Its not all its cracked up to be.

Well hold out till you are ready to buy a car that is worth it. Dont waste your time buying a car that you will be upside down on in no time and still have to pay on for 5 years. Take it from someone who has ALOT of experience buying and selling cars. Put money aside every paycheck so you will have a nice down payment then when you have a good amount and you are ready, buy a nice car that you wouldnt mind having for a long time.

If you really wanna buy a car, buy mine in a few months. Its like a luxury Civic, you know its reliable and well maintained, it has a huge trunk for water, and you dont have to do anything but change the oil in it for the next 100k miles.

Realistically need something much cheaper.

Like this:
http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.jsp?car_id=223371652&dealer_id=9807950&car_year=1998&model=CIVIC&num_records=100&make2=&start_year=1996&keywordsfyc=&keywordsrep=&engine=&certified=&body_code=2&fuel=&awsp=false&search_type=used&distance=200&marketZipError=false&search_lang=&make=HONDA&color=&page_location=findacar::ispsearchform&min_price=&body_style=COUPE&drive=&default_sort=priceDESC&max_mileage=&style_flag=2&sort_type=priceDESC&address=32114&advanced=y&end_year=2000&doors=&transmission=Manual&max_price=5000&cardist=59

problem with most of the civcs from that era in that price range is that they look like this:
http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.jsp?car_id=228061026&dealer_id=60844091&car_year=1996&model=CIVIC&num_records=100&make2=&start_year=1996&keywordsfyc=&keywordsrep=&engine=&certified=&body_code=2&fuel=&awsp=false&search_type=used&distance=200&marketZipError=false&search_lang=&make=HONDA&color=&page_location=findacar%3A%3Aispsearchform&min_price=&body_style=COUPE&drive=&default_sort=priceDESC&max_mileage=&style_flag=2&sort_type=priceDESC&address=32114&advanced=y&end_year=2000&doors=&transmission=Manual&max_price=4000&cardist=97

BTW your model dosen't really have that much of a better motor than the civics in that year, unless you do the obd2 to obd1 harness and ecu

Its better in terms of stock hp and tq. Werent not talking for a base to extreme modding. In 98 you had to get an EX civic just to get 127hp.

I'm gonna have to use the force on fedex in a minute, they tried to deliver my pakcage yesterday at 1040A, so ok I get my door tag and call the 1800 number and ask why there isnt a "pick it up at your local fedex" option. She says that it was sent with FedEx Home Delivery, which isn't actually fedex its a private company that they contract to deliver packages...... :x and my box went to cocoa for the night. Chris said its a nice place to stay so I said ok its probably in better hands down there then it would have been at the fedex depot here. Well its delivery day 2 and almost two hours after they tried to deliver it yesterday and its still not here! It left the depot in cocoa a full 8 minutes earlier then yesterday! Where is it??!?!? :bad-words:

Thanks I feel marginally better now :D

Worst part is I can't do anything or go anywhere that would jeapordize me not being here to get it. Side effects may include: the apartment is really clean, the bike is really clean, TV is getting watched, dishes may get done, clean wash might get put away........ 8)
