header pipe

I have an 02 gsxr 1000. How hard and what do I need to remove to take the header pipe off? I want to wrap it with heat wrap.

It's not super hard. Definately time consuming. There will be 2 bolts per pipe times 4 pipes, so about 8 bolts other than taking the midpipe off. But, If it was me, I'd take off the lower panels, and start removing the exhaust from the end can forward. Sounds like a good opportunity to torque everything back to spec. Good luck.

Got it on. Wasn't easy but went ok. Should have my side fairings done by wed. Will be ready to ride this weekend.
