Well, I've gotten myself into a pickle here.

We are still shooting for the May trackday, but Jennings requires that you have at least 75% tire to race. My current rear is about a fingernail thick from hitting the wear marks, and I was hoping to make them last till a few weeks before going to Jennings. I'm relatively unhappy with the tire life, as the tire only have about 4500 miles on them. (Just FYI, they are the Dunlop Qualifier)

I'm in the midst of upgrading suspension/brakes, so I'd like to keep things cheap.

Whats my best option? Keep the bike up on the stands until end of April and risk getting rusty, or try to find a take-off for under $50?

dms, not deland motorsports, but the shop in south daytona usually has takeoffs, good ones, for around 100 a set.

I think what I'm going to have to do is just ride once a week until I get my parts in and take apart the bike. Just cant ride in any damp conditions :/

I'm Mr. Tire management guy myself and 4500 on a Qualifier is awesome. It probably is cupping a little, so you may want to run something else anyway. I think takeoff's for your first trackday would be a great idea. Also, they typically change tires for 10.00 at Jennings. Take your tools to take your wheels off in the morning and have a set of takeoffs mounted for 20 bucks.

Interesting idea... I just may do that.

The tire is cupping slightly, so I know its time for a new tire. Once Oneida Suzuki opens back up from inventory I'm gonna get some pilot powers. Has anyone found a place that can beat $209 for a front/rear combo?
