Many of you have had the privilage of riding with The Big Dog or Wide Load as we call him. He led much of our ride some time ago out thru Lake County and the infamous Lot 13.hustleing his red ZX12.Well awhile ago Big Dog bought a new Ducati Multistrada. He had taken it to Deals Gap once or twice already and went again this past weekend. He called me Saturday and left a meesage to call him back When I did he answered "repeat after me, R2D2(his pet name for the Duck) was a good motorcycle" Apparently he was hauling down the Dragon and just before the overlook he chopped the throttle and the big twin got the rear wheel hopping and it only got worse so rather than go over the edge he grabbed a big handful of brake and promtly got high sided. Now I want you to picture a 400 pound man getting pitched off a bike at a high rate of speed. Thankfully Big Dog was wearing a bunch of brand new gear, jacket, gloves, boots all of which is heavily road rashed But the Big Man survived with a serious knee injury I talked to him today and he seemed in good spirits I'm sure he will have plenty of time soon to set in front of the computer and chat.

Thank you James for that moving description of the imminent destruction of my beloved Multi. Fear not, with many large dollars thrown at me and my motorcycle, it will be just a matter of time before I once again claim my title as the worlds fastest fat man. It is a shame that there is not video for it would certainly win an award somewhere. As for me, I am healing as well as can be expected hope to be up and moving around next week. Thanks to all for the well wishes. John, it is you're turn to go up there and become a hero. See you all later.

No,no,no. I am not going up there and becoming a hero. My nephew and my favorite adopted "BIG" brother have both stuffed bikes in that area. Count me out, I like my body without road rash and my bike straight and shiny.

Wideload, Glad to hear you came out of that one alive. Heal fast and take care. I'll 2nd the request that you be ready to lead us on another ride. I haven't cleaned the Lot 13 sand and grass off the R1 since the last ride.

Jim, You stud you. Good to see you posting. I saw you a few weeks ago heading into Publix. Man you clean up PRETTY!! Had to take a second look to make sure it was you since you had a pretty girl on your arm and you weren't wearing torn up jeans. I believe it was Dockers and a Polo. When are you gonna ride with us again??

Worsty, Try www.newenough.com for gear. They usually have good prices on nice gear.
