I maybe moving to Daytona and would like some areas to look for that is not too expensive. I don't really want to be that close to the beach so that should help. If someone could point me in the right direction I would appreciate it. What I'm looking for is a house around 2200-2500 sq ft for about $200k in a decent neighborhood.

Do you want to work with a realtor ? I know someone that can help.

You shouldn't have a problem finding what you are looking for.

Make sure you check out the area that you decide on before moving in... some places around Daytona, not so nice... Be careful and good luck! Welcome to the neighborhood!!

Can you guys give me some names of places to look and the ones to stay away from? Like I said I have been searching on the internet and housing looks out of control there. My wife said she is not going to pay 200k for a trailer or live in the ghetto. As far as working with a realtor this maybe a little soon for that but if you could post a link to their website I will check it out.
Thanks again

Try Port Orange and Ormond Beach if you want to stay on the coast. Both have nice areas and are only minutes from "Daytona". You should contact a Realtor. They will do all the leg work for you and not charge you a thing whether they find a house or not, the seller pays their commissions. It will save you a lot of time since they can email pics, neighborhood stats, etc. A realtor is definitely the way to go. Go on google and search for Daytona Realtors. Any one of them can help you find a place in Daytona or the surrounding areas.

ormonds taxs are rediculous and its full of slow old cryptkeeper drivers. Im trying to move to holly hill. Its more centralized to everything too. I live next to a middle school and at 3:40 its a NIGHTMARE all the damn soccer moms just stopping in the middle of the road for little fat johnny 2 blocks away. Other than that ok place to live, just watch for hadicapped tags on the mirrors and youll be ok. lol
