Well I am in the market for some new shoes for the bike and well the are too many to choose from. However they all claim to have technological advances far above the rest, so how do you choose? Bridgestone, Continental, Dunlop, Metzler, Michelin, Pirelli the list goes and goes forever. So what does everyone else think here?

Try the BT014's, that's what I am running now and they seem to perform well and are lasting ok. Good all around.

You are sport touring and want mileage and are not very concerned about aggressive riding throw a BT020 on the back.

If you're agressive and don't care about mileage, M1's

Just my opinion, you'll see many.

I personally don't see how anyuone could get 6200 miles out of a Busa rear tire. No matter what mine only last about 4000

6K ?

Do those bikes have throttles on them ?

I don't do burnouts, just ride, and 3000 is average for a rear on my bike.

Thanks for the input, I ended up going with the usual D208 but since the topic was replied to, wierd since I am in need of another tire real soon, again, maybe I'll check out the 6k mile tire!!!! I have been getting 4-4.5K on the D208's. No burnouts, try to go easy on the throttle, but everyone knows how that works out!

I was surprised too after talking to other Busa owners but seriously I just got a new tire at around 6100 or so. It did have a pretty good flat area in the center of the tire (like a drag slick) which was making the bike handle badly but there were no cords showing through. I probably shoulda changed it a lot sooner.

I dont do burnouts either but I don't have a problem twisting the throttle heavily (like we did on our last ride with Alien, right SIRLOIN!)

I normally get 5-7K out of my rear tires. Of course I do alot of highway commuting too. Hard to keep the flat spot minimal when your doing that.

Here's the milege I gotten on tires.

BT056 - 7400
BT056 - 5000 (changed a little early because front was chopped)
BT014 - 3500 still going good.

BTW I still have the 5K BT056. Tread is into the wear bar, but should make a good stunt tire for all you street fighters. $25.00 takes it.

Sirloin, Definitley need to get the rides going again. John (Zeb) is slacking off on us with the planning. I'm heading to Colombia for 3 weeks over the holidays. Leaving Tuesday and can't wait to get out of here for a while. I hope you all have a GREAT Christmas & New Year. Stay safe and see you in 2005!!!
