I just sold a Honda NX650 duel sport. It was my first bike in 20 years. I road it for one year and had a blast. Now I have a ZX1100 The only thing I can say is "holy shit" I love it.
I do think I should take a safety ridding class. Were should I start and who has the best class.
Also looking for riders to learn from and ride with.
All the co-workers/firefighters are Harley freaks, need I say more. I was invited to a Warlocks party this weekend, I think I'll pass.

Hey Rick! First off, welcome to the site. My husband and I are in Port Orange too. You'd be more than welcome to join us on one of our rides. We typically ride on Mondays, as we're both off that day, but we go on Sunday afternoons some too when it isn't too hot.

As far as a safety course, I took the "MSF course" when we were living in Miami and it was fabulous. I had grown up riding dirt bikes and I knew how to ride, but that class taught me a great deal. I hear those classes are pretty full usually up here, but it's worth looking into. Go to: http://www.msf-usa.org/pages/MAIN1.html and you can read all about it. There's also an 800 number to call for information.

Ride safe and enjoy that ZX11.

WooHoo, finally logged in.

Take the MSF Safety class. The Sunshine Safety Council on Beach Street has a class. There is also a class held in Jax and St Augistine that gives you a choice of cruiser bikes or sport bikes. You will learn alot, even if you have been riding for years.

I went to Ace Motorcycle School in Sanford (for those of you who live near there). They were AWESOME! I would recommend it to anyone! The school was recommended to me from Seminole Power Motorsports. I never rode a bike before in my life. The instructors names were Floyd and Susie and they were SOOOO awesome! I was intimidated with buying a large bike or anything besides a little Ninja 250 or 500, and they gave me the courage to go for something larger. Now I'm sporting a brand new ZX-6R (636), hence the screen name!

First off, welcome to the board. I can't give you much info on the safty class 'cause I learned to ride from my uncle and my older friends when I was younger in Mass. but have thought about taking an advanced course if they offer one. As far as riding I'm always up for it so let me know and I'll join you for some cruising. :)

The Ace Motorcycle School that I went to had an advanced rider course and from what I heard its pretty fun. You get to use your own bike which I think is cool. Plus, eventually they plan on having a dirt bike school and I believe an ATV school. I plan on taking the avanced rider course in the near future. Again, AWESOME SCHOOL!
