Dave, Hope you are OK. Bike don't look as good as the last time I saw it. Hope you heal fast. Bike week was cool for us till our son crash his zx12 Fri night. He's OK but the bike is trashed.

As long as you walked ( or limped ) away thats all that matters.
The bike can be fixed or replaced.
Why are bikes so easily damaged ? you would think manufacturers would put bumpers on the side to lessen the
damage to bodywork.
You could total a ZX12 by dropping it at 30mph.
The magnisium cases are about as strong as a beer glass.
I have seen a few bikes with crankcase damage on the left
side after a minor spill.
I have a toolmaking company and I am going to make some
crash mushrooms, nobody makes these that work on this bike but I have figured out how to do it.
I will keep you informed.

I wrecked my zx-9 and frame sliders saved my bike,
Patzx12- the reason bikes break so easy is so manufacturers can make more $$ off of you and the bumpers are frame sliders (they work!!!)

Frame sliders are good on ZX9, R1 ect but the
ZX12 has no frame and no mounting points.
Also the engine is very wide.

Red one was an '00, it was totalled. I sold the replacement, a blue '02, a while back.
